Our Approach to Wildlife Control & Extermination
1. Inspection & Analysis
Before we perform any treatments, our experienced wildlife exterminators will conduct a complete and thorough inspection of your Portland or Vancouver area home. We’ll examine the foundation and exterior of your house for cracks and holes where mammals may gain access. Then, our team will look at your landscape and inside your attic and crawl space for signs of potential wildlife issues.
We’ll explain our findings to you and design an extermination and prevention plan that will really work.
2. Exclusion
Keeping animals out of your home and property is the key to successful wildlife treatments. Holes and gaps must be completely sealed and reinforced to prevent future entry. Our wildlife exterminators are thorough and leave nothing to chance. We partner with a sister construction company to perform any larger or more technical repairs, if needed.
3. Careful Wildlife Extermination
Based on the results of our inspections, our Portland exterminators will use a series of professional traps and other capture methods to remove the critter from your house and property. These targeted removal and extermination methods are designed to be highly effective and safe for your family and pets.
Inspect. Exclude. Exterminate. When you work with the experienced Portland and Vancouver wildlife exterminators at EcoCare Pest Control, wildlife removal really is that simple!

Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you work? Will you come to my home?
Our experienced wildlife exterminators work throughout the Portland and Vancouver metro areas. They’re happy to come out to your home and in most cases offer you a free, no-obligation quote.
What attracts wildlife to my home?
Wildlife animals spend a great deal of time looking for shelter and food. Unsecured garbage is the most attractive item to wildlife. Secondly, any opening into your crawl space or attic will offer an opportunity for their inspection to see what’s available. However, it’s possible that your home will attract curious wildlife even if it doesn’t have either of these problems.
Can critters like Raccoons and Possums hurt my pets?
Small wildlife like Raccoons or Possums will not attack unless they are cornered and feel endangered, or in particular, a mother protecting her babies. Otherwise, they are nocturnal when your pets are usually inside your home. If you’re dealing with critters around your home, don’t try to remove them yourself as it can be dangerous. Our team specializes in Raccoon removal and Opossum extermination.
Do you do all your prevention and wildlife damage repairs in-house?
Almost all our wildlife prevention and repair work is installed by own technicians. We also have a sister construction company that can perform larger and more technical repairs as needed. The only exception is electrical damage, which we subcontract since it requires a special license.
What do you do with the captured animals?
For most species, we are required by law to euthanize the animal. We use the most humane methods possible, which allows the mammal to fall asleep and unconscious before passing away some minutes later.
